Here at Winter Woollies HQ we love being asked questions. We thought we would share some of the ones we have been asked to help you plan your visit.
If you have any questions you can get in touch via the contact us button or through the Facebook page.
  • How do I find the event?
The postcode for Home Farm is LE11 3YG.
The farm is just down the hill from The Priory (pub) crossroads on the Woodhouse Eaves side, opposite the reservoir.
Look for the sign at the end of the drive.

  • How much does it cost to get in?
Winter woollies is free to attend. We hope you will support our stallholders by buying lots of goodies.

  • Will there be somewhere to park?
There will, although parking is somewhat limited, if you can car share it would be greatly appreciated. Follow the drive all the way to the farm to find the parking.

  • Do I need to wear wellies?
Wellies are optional, although if you wish to visit the sheep and lambs you will probably want to wear them as they will be in the lambing sheds (please remember it is a working farm). We suggest wrapping up well in weather appropriate clothing- November gets cold and damp!

  • Is Winter Woollies suitable for children?
Of course, there will be lots for our younger visitors to see- including sheep, lambs and spinning demonstrations. Please note children must be supervised at all times, the event is being held on a working farm.

  • Can I bring my dog/sheep/monkey to the event?
Please only bring assistance animals to the event, the site is not suitable for bringing pets.

  • How about my knitting/crochet/crafty activity, can I bring it along?
Please do, we would love to see what you are working on. We will try to have some extra chairs in the area where people will be demonstrating, you will be welcome to sit and craft.

  • Will the be anything available to eat?
Charlotte will be running a refreshment stall, come along and see what tasty goodies are on offer.

  • Will I be able to buy things by card or do I need to bring cash?
Many of the stallholders will only be accepting cash on the day. Some may bring a mobile card reader but our advice would be to bring plenty of cash.

  • How do I become a Winter Woollies stallholder?
We are all booked for 2017. If you are interested in joining us in 2018 get in touch via the "contact us" page to be sent all the info and a booking form.
